FeaturesGrab code
Code out of a screenshot, ready to run
The snippet is in a video, on a slide, in a chat window that will not let you copy, or on a screen shared by someone else. Grab code transcribes it.
Runs on the Balanced tier — 2 credits per run.
What you get back
A single fenced code block tagged with the correct language, reproducing indentation, symbols and identifiers character for character. Obvious truncation at the edges is completed only where it is unambiguous, and every such line is marked with a trailing comment in the language's own syntax so you know what was inferred. Then, if and only if there is an actual defect visible, one line starting with “Bug:”. Otherwise nothing more.
When to reach for it
A tutorial video paused on the interesting part. A conference slide. Code inside a screenshot in a bug report. A snippet in an app that blocks copying. A colleague's screen on a call.
What leaves your machine
Exactly one image, once, when you press the lens — plus the capture's window title and dimensions, nothing else. It is read by a private model under zero data retention, the answer streams back as text and is saved onto the capture in your local library, and the image is not kept anywhere.
How to use it
- Capture — PrtScn for a region, Alt+PrtScn for a window, Ctrl+PrtScn for the whole screen.
- Pick the lens in Studio. The answer streams in and stays attached to that capture.
- Copy it, rerun it, ask a follow-up, or come back to it later from the Library.
Every lens on every plan
The free plan runs every lens, with a monthly credit allowance and nothing to configure. Capture, editing, redaction, the library and the presenter tools need no account at all.
