Does ScreenFeel upload my screenshots?
No. Every capture, thumbnail, edit and AI answer is written to the app's own storage on your device and stays there. There is no gallery on our servers that could leak, because none was ever built.
What actually leaves my computer when I run a lens?
One image, once, at the moment you press a lens — plus the lens you picked, your target language, and the capture's window title and dimensions. Nothing else, and nothing at all until you press.
Does the AI provider keep the image?
No, and 100% of our AI features work this way. We call only models the provider marks private — open-weight models it hosts itself, under zero data retention — never the cheaper anonymous tier, where an outside AI lab still reads what you sent. A check before every deploy fails if any model we would call is not marked private, so the promise is enforced rather than merely asserted.
How is this different from the Snipping Tool or any other screenshot app?
A screenshot tool hands you a picture and stops there. ScreenFeel reads yours. It will tell you what an error message means, transcribe the text, translate the whole screen, turn a chart back into numbers you can paste, or find the password you were about to share. It also keeps every capture in a searchable library — searchable by what is inside the image, not just the filename — where an ordinary tool leaves you a folder of PNGs named after the date.
What can it actually tell me about a screenshot?
Pick a lens instead of writing a prompt. It can explain what you are looking at, summarize a long screen, diagnose a visible error or stack trace, transcribe text exactly as laid out, translate a whole screenshot, turn charts and tables into CSV, pull runnable code out of an image, work through the maths on screen, write alt text, draft the message you are about to send with it, or find credentials so you can redact them in one click. Select several captures and it will compare two of them, run one lens across a batch, or write a numbered step-by-step guide from a series of screenshots.
Can it really capture anything on screen?
Yes. A region of any display with a pixel-exact magnifier, any window picked from a live grid, or the whole screen — in any application, not just a browser. It can even answer the Print Screen key, so it works as your machine's screenshot app.
Can it warn me about secrets before I share a screenshot?
Yes, in two ways. A scanner runs entirely on your machine, with no network call, matching API keys, cloud credentials, private keys, tokens and payment cards. A lens can also mark what it finds so you can redact it in one click — and redaction is flattened into the exported pixels rather than laid over them.
Does it help during a video call?
It gives you a cursor glow, spotlight boxes and arrows drawn locally over whatever you are sharing — any app, not just a browser — and it warns you when your open window titles look like they contain something secret. It deliberately offers no AI during a call.
Does it speak my language?
The whole interface is translated into English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese, and it follows Windows by default. The Translate lens goes further — 36 target languages — and the reading lenses transcribe whatever is on screen, in whatever language it was written.
Does it work offline?
Everything local does: capturing, the editor, redaction, the library, search and the presenter tools all work with no connection at all. Only the AI lenses need one, since that is the moment an image is actually sent.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, and it runs every lens. Capture, editing, redaction, the library, search and the presenter tools all work with no account at all; a free account adds a monthly allowance of AI credits.
What is a credit?
One run of one lens. The quickest lenses cost one credit, most cost two, and the most thorough cost five, so an allowance stretches further on short questions than on deep ones.
What happens when I run out of credits?
The AI lenses pause until your allowance renews next month, and nothing else changes. Capturing, editing, redaction, search and your whole library keep working exactly as before, because none of that has ever needed credits or an account.
How do I cancel, and who am I actually buying from?
Cancel in one action from your account, at any time, with no email to write. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, then quietly becomes Free. If you subscribed on this website, Stripe is the merchant of record and appears on your statement; if you subscribed through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft is. Either way we never see your card details.
Can I use ScreenFeel for work?
Yes. The licence covers commercial use on machines you control, and there is no separate business tier to buy. It is a per-user install with no admin rights needed, it reaches exactly one host, and it ships no analytics or trackers — which is usually what a security review wants to know first.
What does it run on?
Windows 10 and 11, installed from the Microsoft Store. Your browser does not matter — ScreenFeel is a desktop app.
How do I delete everything?
The library has a two-step wipe that clears every capture from your device. Because nothing was ever synced anywhere, that really is all of it. To close your account too, choose Delete account in Settings → Account: the service then removes everything it held about you.
