Does ScreenFeel upload my screenshots?
No. Every capture, thumbnail, edit and AI answer is written to your browser's own storage and stays there. There is no gallery on our servers that could leak, because none was ever built.
What actually leaves my computer when I run a lens?
One image, once, at the moment you press a lens — and nothing else. The page address is stripped of its query string, fragment and any credentials first, because that is exactly where reset tokens, magic links and sign-in codes live.
Does the AI provider keep the image?
No. Lenses run on open-weight models under zero data retention, and a build check refuses to ship if a configured model is not marked private. The promise is enforced, not merely asserted.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, and it runs every lens. Capture, editing, redaction, the library, search and the presenter tools all work with no account at all; a free account adds a monthly allowance of AI credits.
What is a credit?
One run of one lens. The quickest lenses cost one credit, most cost two, and the most thorough cost five, so an allowance stretches further on short questions than on deep ones. Naming and tagging a capture is free and never spends credits.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome and other Chromium browsers, version 116 or newer.
Can it capture anything outside the browser?
Yes. As well as a region, a single element, the visible tab or a whole scrolling page, it can capture any window or screen you pick — which is unusual for a browser extension.
Can it warn me about secrets before I share a screenshot?
Yes, in two ways. A scanner runs entirely on your machine, with no network call, matching API keys, cloud credentials, private keys, tokens and payment cards. A lens can also mark what it finds so you can redact it in one click — and redaction is flattened into the exported pixels rather than laid over them.
Does it help during a video call?
It gives you a cursor glow, spotlight boxes and arrows drawn locally on the tab you are sharing, and it warns you when the titles of your other tabs are about to be visible to everyone on the call. It deliberately offers no AI during a call.
How do I delete everything?
The library has a two-step wipe that clears every capture from your device. Because nothing was ever synced anywhere, that really is all of it.
